We're off!

At least that is what we think. The car is packed, and we have decided to head south. That’s not difficult from where we live, as on the map there is far more below than above. Somehow, we hope to reach Thessaloniki, a big city in the north of Greece, although we have yet to decide how to reach it. We know it is nearly 2000 miles away and we must cross oceans, mountain ranges, and huge lengths of dodgy road to get there. Will we make it? We hope so but right now we haven’t a clue. Fingers crossed and we’re away, with Greece our final destination. We use the word final, but it is not final final, as we also need to get back.

Packed and ready to go

We should have said. There are two of us on this journey - him and her - we have been together for decades. We are about to have an adventure - there have been plenty before and here is another.

Join us as we giggle, argue, travel, and doubtless suffer from time to time. We're already disagreeing about The Alps, and whether we go over or through them. Whatever the outcome, we’ve decided to wander, as wandering is fun. Thessaloniki is where we are going. His eye is on Greek sticky cakes, while she simply wants to get there, and back again as well.
